History:  Jeannie comes from a long lineage of successful artists from the Utopia region which started with the practice of Batik print making in the late 1970’s and 80’s. Her mother Dolly Mills Petyarre was a well-known artist along with her uncle Greeny Purvis Petyarre who were prolific through the 1990’s and 2000’s. She is also related to Emily Kngwarreye (great auntie) who is one of Australia’s best known female artists.
